SYSPRO International Women's Day Project

March 8th is International Women's Day. It marks the day we celebrate and support the achievements of women and continue the conversation to raise awareness for equality. At Umbrella Consulting, our team is proud to be led by a strong, successful woman who has seen the evolution of gender equality in the workplace, and especially in an industry that was previously under-represented by women. Founder and Managing Director Karen Chang has over 20 years of experience in ERP and has proven her ability to pave her own path.

Karen's work to uplift and inspire young women includes her participation in the UBC Mentorship program, where she provides guidance through her experiences in business, accounting and ERP. She is also a strong advocate for women in leadership roles, because not only does that empower other women to rise up, it also helps achieve gender equality.

This year, Karen was one of five women selected globally to be part of SYSPRO's International Women's Day Project, which highlights and acknowledges successful women in non-traditional gender roles such as ERP, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution.

The International Women's Day theme for 2021 is #ChooseToChallenge. From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge.
