If you weren't a consultant, what job would you want to do?

A gym fitness instructor! 🏋️♂️

What was your very first job?

Service crew at McDonald’s 🍟🍔

Do you have a hidden talent?

I’m very good at overthinking why I am overthinking.

What new skill or hobby did you pick up during the 2020 pandemic lockdown?

Making coffee in an espresso machine and learning how to do some latte art ☕

What do you wish you knew more about?

How to manage expectations. Reality brings grief or discomfort only when it doesn’t meet expectations.

Building IKEA furniture - torture or enjoyable?!

Torture! Looking at the instruction steps from 1 to 100... 😵💫

If you could go back in time, which class in high school do you wish you paid more attention to?

English! I never imagined that I would use it until now that I am in Canada.

What's the most memorable place you've travelled to?

CANADA!!!! 🍁

What's your best childhood memory?

Christmas Day! A long-standing Filipino tradition is to visit the godfather for Christmas treats (treats = money!) as a way of honouring that tradition and showing appreciation for the godfather's generosity throughout the year.

Do you have an irrational fear?

Frogs! 🐸

What's your ideal way to start the day?

Pray 🙏🏽

What's the best part about working from home?

Not spending any time commuting!

What's your favourite part of the ERP implementation process?

The development stage since all the requirements are clear at that point. The challenges encountered along the way have helped me enhance my problem-solving skills, sharpen my technical abilities and add to my experience as a consultant. It's a great learning experience and has helped me grow as a professional.

What is the most interesting business you've worked with?

It was a client who owned a nuclear power plant, and the office was so secure that only resources related to the project were allowed to enter. We had to sign a strict non-disclosure agreement and our computers were monitored for any unusual activity. It was a unique experience and I'm glad I had the opportunity to be part of such a project.

What is something you enjoy about working with the Umbrella Consulting team?

Everyone on the team has been very helpful to me and without their support, I would not have been able to make such progress. They have been patient in answering my questions and I am thankful for their help.

Outside of work, they’ve helped me adjust to life in Canada. I really appreciate their kindness and have made some great friendships. I can honestly say that I have been blessed to have met these wonderful people.

Furthermore, I am extremely grateful to Umbrella for not just the opportunity for work, but also for providing me with a new start here in Canada. They have made me feel welcome and part of their team. 🙌🏽
